Avram Kornberg is the Chief Technology Officer and a Managing Director at Silver Lake, a global leader in technology investing. Over the course of his career, Avram has led major tech transformations at top financial firms—driving digital innovation, building critical infrastructure, modernizing outdated systems, and rolling out new strategic capabilities. He’s passionate about using technology and smarter processes to fuel growth and boost performance.
Before joining Silver Lake, Avram founded Stratecution Consulting, advising clients across financial services (including Silver Lake), software, and asset management. During that time, he also stepped into several interim executive roles, including CISO at the Options Clearing Corporation and both CTO and CISO positions at Hellman & Friedman.
Earlier in his career, Avram held CTO roles at TPG Capital, MF Global, Moore Capital, Natexis Bank USA, and OppenheimerFunds. He got his start as a software developer and project manager at firms like Goldman Sachs and Bankers Trust.
Avram earned a B.A. in Political Science from SUNY Binghamton and an M.B.A. in Finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
